Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort China Hotel
Amazingly beautiful, Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort Hotel rises on the shores of scenic Taihu Lake, in the Chinese province of Huzhou. The building is a 27-story arch, 100 meters high and 116 meters wide.
The creators of the project, the architects of MAD Architects, were inspired by the look of traditional Chinese arch bridges and examples of ancient ink painting techniques. At night, a huge arch equipped with a LED backlight mechanism is reflected in the lake water and looks like a full moon - this is the embodiment of the eastern idea of unity and infinity.
Architects also implemented energy-saving technologies in the project. Instead of glass facades, reflective screens have been used, which can reduce the cost of air conditioning. There is a natural shading of all rooms' balconies due to the specific shape of the building. At the same time, the installed ultra-clear glass transmits maximum daylight.
